The control interface of A7125 is SPI, through SPI, it is easy to program TX power, Read/Write FIFO, access 8-bit Digital RSSI, data rate and etc. A7125’s unique Strobe Command is used to control A7125 built-in State Machine, users just need to send single command via SPI for packet transmission. A7125 has embedded LDO, its operating range is from 2.0V to 3.6V, TX power could be set from -10 dBm to 3 dBm with high Rx sensitivity -90 dBm. If data rate is programmed to only 1 Mbps, the Rx sensitivity could be lower than – 92dBm. In addition, AMICCOM could support reference design of A7125+External PA (20 dBm/10 dBm) for longer distance applications. A7125 has not only features of self-calibration mechanism, but also supports operation options of Auto RSSI Measurement, Data Whitening, Packet Correction (FEC and CRC), high precision clock output for MCU crystal sharing, FIFO mode and Direct Mode. A7125 has no SAW filter and Balun required for module design but only few external passive components needed. Users can also consider A7125 built-in thermal sensor, battery detector and 8-bits ADC for flexible applications.
