AMICCOM announced A8125M0, The 2.4GHz Wireless Transceiver SOC Chip

AMICCOM Electronics Corporation (AMICCOM) announced a new generation of 2.4GHz wireless transceiver SoC chip called A8125 M0. The data transmission rate of A8125M0 is up to 2Mbps, and supports FSK/GFSK modulation, It integrated high performance ARM® Cortex®-M0, has built in 128 Kbytes Flash Memory, 32K bytes SRAM, and various digital GPIO interface. For development, A8125M0 offers the 2 wires ICE and recommended IDE is Keil C.

The maximum TX Power of A8125M0 is +10 dBm (33.5mA) , Receiver sensitivity is -90 dBm(@ 2 Mbps FSK@14mA), with a maximum Link budget of 100 dB, the transmission distance can be over 100 meters. The A8125 M0 has a DCDC converter for more efficient power applications. For 3.3V power supply with DCDC turned-on, the RX mode current is 7.1mA and the TX mode current is 9.2mA (+5dBm). RF output power control range of a8125M0 is -30dBm ~ +10dBm, and supports a programmable transmission data rate (2Mbps ~ 8 Kbps).

The A8125M0’s internal CPU core -- ARM® Cortex®- M0, can provides fast operation and adjustable CPU operation speed to fit the requirement of various power requirements. A8125 M0 consists with a plurality of digital interface such as UART, I2C, SPI, and provides eight PWM outputs, two 32 -bit timer with a 32 -bit dual mode timer, These 24/ 23 multiple function GPIOs can be applied according to different usage situation. A8125M0 has a built-in 12-bit ADC that supports up to 8 channels of external signals measurement.

Overall, A8125 M0 is the high-performance low-power wireless transceiver SoC chip, has excellent performance RF power amplifier of 10dBm, and supports a variety of digital interfaces, all functions are integrated in a single QFN6x6/QFN5x5 package.
