AMICCOM announced A9508 The new sub1GHz SoC chip with LCD display function
- 2017/3/24
AMICCOM Electronics Corporation (AMICCOM) announced the sub-GHz SoC chip - A9508 with LCD driver. Continuing to strengthen the integration of SoC chips, AMICCOM integrates the LCD driver functions and two high-accuracy 24-bit RCADCs onto the former sub1GHz SoC(A9108), named A9508. The kernel of A9508 is same as the A9108. It is a 1T Pipeline 8051 CPU. The internal memory is 16Kbytes Flash Memory, 2KBytes SRAM and various digital interfaces. The 2-wire ICE can be developed with Keil C.

Both the A9508 and A9108 have excellent RF performance: high receiving sensitivity (-112dBm @ 10Kbps @433MHz) and 20dBm high efficiency output amplifier. In addition, the maximum data rate of A9508 increases to 500Kbps, A9508 has a built-in 1/2 Bias and 1/3 Bias LCD Driver with Type A and Type B waveforms. The number of LCD points is 4 (COM) x 48 (SEG). When the LCD is not connected, the LCD driver consumes only 3.5uA. A high precision 24-bit RCADC can be used to measure humidity or temperature.

A9508 can work directly with A9508's code and reference to the profile provided by AMICCOM. The LCD can be driven by user and a high-precision 24-bit RCADC can be used to measure humidity and temperature. A9508 can measure and display data independently, or it can transmit the information via Sub1GHz RF/SoC.
Overall, A9508 is a high-performance, highly integrated sub1GHz wireless chip with excellent RF performance, support for multiple digital interfaces and I/O, LCD driver, measurement of ambient temperature and humidity. It’s a long-distance environmental monitoring IoT device.
