Selection Guide
General Description
A7209 is a monolithic low-IF architecture CMOS ASK receiver for wireless applications in the 315/433/868/915 ISM bands. A7209 supports the easy-to-use hardware mode with data rate for 1k ~ 10kbps. User can set power on/off, operation frequency and data rate via IC pins, there is no need to use external MCU for system operation in this mode.
A7209 also support SPI mode which is more flexible if user want to change the operation frequency and data rate according to their own applications. For SPI mode incorporates a baseband demodulator and support ASK data rate up to 50Kbps. A7209’s control registers are accessed via 3-wire SPI interface. Another one, via SPI as well, is the unique strobe command. A7209 can be controlled from power saving mode (deep sleep, sleep, idle, standby) to PLL mode, and RX mode. Additional features including on-chip regulator, low battery detector, Auto calibration (VCO, IF Filter), on-chip capacitors for Xtal loading are also supported. Overall, A7209’s highly integrated function and low current consumption offer a reduced BOM cost for a high performance ISM bands product.
